Ben Stokes Breaks Finger During IPL Match

Rajasthan Royals informed through an official statement that their star all-rounder Ben Stokes has been ruled out of IPL 2021 due to a broken finger.

On 12th April 2021, Rajasthan Royals and Punjab Kings were playing the IPL against each other in Mumbai.

During fielding, he broke one of his fingers. Rajasthan Royals issued a statement saying that: “Rajasthan Royals all-rounder Ben Stokes injured his finger because of this, he will not be able to participate in future IPL matches. Rajasthan Royals absolutely admires Ben for being such a huge asset and a valuable member of the Royals family, both on and off the field, and wishes him a speedy recovery. We are delighted that Ben would like to stay with the team to provide his valued support and inputs off the field. In the meantime, we will be reviewing potential replacement options for Stokes.”

Jofra Archer was another Rajasthan Royal player who was injured. Archer was cleaning his fish rank when a piece of glass pierced his hand and he had to undergo surgery. After surgery doctors cleared him to resume cricket but it is not sure if he will play any matches yet.
