Dubai Becomes World's First Paperless City
Dubai has become the world's first government to turn 100 per cent paperless.
Sheikh Hamdan, the Emirate's Crown Prince said, Dubai has become the first government in the world to become completely paperless. He said that it will save a lot of time and 1.3 billion Dirham (Rs. 2,683 crore) will also be saved. Which was being spent on using paper. The crown prince said it is the beginning of a new stage toward digitization and Dubai will become one of the most high-tech digital capitals of the world and will show the world that the government can actually work without using paper. It will be a role model for protecting the environment and at the same time giving happiness to the customer. The Dubai government's internal and external transactions and procedures are now entirely digital.
The Dubai Paperless Strategy was conducted in five phases. Each phase involved a group of government organizations. Over the next five decades, Dubai will employ sophisticated tactics to establish and improve digital life. Dubai's digital transformation will enhance the smart city experience for all citizens by completely eliminating the need for paper transactions and paperwork. Similar plans have been expressed by the United States, Europe, and Canada. People who doubt this digitalization argued that this would pave the way for more cyber-attacks.
