To avoid the heat, some people skip exercising in Summer. Light exercises should be done to ensure that you do not feel lazy. Do your exercises early in the morning or in the evening. Avoid walking, jogging, cycling in scorching sunlight.

  1. Change your clothes

Change your sweaty clothes when you get home after being out in the sun. Sweaty cloth allows bacteria to grow on the skin, resulting in skin issues such as rashes.

  1.  Sun Protection

Wear light coloured clothes and natural fabrics like cotton and linen. When you are outside, use a hat or an umbrella for shade and wear sunglasses to protect your eyes.  If you wish, you can use sunscreen lotion.

  1.  Adopt an appropriate skin care routine

Summer can wreak on your skin if proper care is not taken. Excessive oil and sweat can cause irritation, rashes, prickly heat, and acne. Wash your face often or use tissues or wet wipes to wipe a sweaty face.  Use natural face packs with aloe vera gel or sandalwood powder to soothe the skin.

  1. Protect yourself from overexposure

Summer sun can be cruel to your body, leading to skin issues. If not needed, do not go out in the afternoons. Remember to see a doctor if you experience inflammation, irritation, or any other type of skin discomfort as a result of sun exposure.

  1. Take proper rest

The days in the summers are long and exhausting. Experts recommend getting 7 to 9 hours of sleep each night.

We looked at a lot of things we should do in the summers that will make us a little bit more comfortable in day-to-day life. So now, let us also look at things we should NOT Do.

A sudden and extreme change in temperature between inside and outside harms the body.  Don’t switch body temperatures. We all are too tempted to switch on the air conditioner as soon as we reach home. This can even cause eye, respiratory infections, runny nose, asthma attacks, muscular pains, sinusitis, flu, cold, sore throat, severe pains. If you are sitting in an AC room and you have to go out, switch off the AC for some time so that the heat outside doesn’t feel harsh on the body. And when you come from outside, do not switch on the AC instantly but rather switch to a fan or cooler.
