Celebrate 534th Gaura Purnima in Mumbai

The Hare Krsna Deaf Community India are organising a programme to celebrate the 534th Gaura Purnima and Holi in Mumbai. Watch the video for all the details.

What is Gaura Purnima?

Gaura Purnima is the appearance anniversary of Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu (1486-1534) who is Radha and Krishna combined. His appearance day is on 9th March 2020. 

 

Who is Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu?

He is the Golden Avatar of Lord Krishna to preach on How to Love God which is Bhakti. He was born on 18th February 1486, in Nabadwip, Mayapur (4 hours from Kolkata). He appeared from Radha and Krishna combined.  Shri Krishna Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, honorific: "Mah?prabhu", is the Supreme Personality of Godhead.

 

Holi is a day in India when people throw brightly coloured water and powder over everyone. But they do not know the real meaning of Holi.

Samir is a Deaf Motivator & Founder of HKDCI. He will give a lecture on Gaura Purnima and Holi. You all will get to learn and become aware.  There will be Snacks/ Games/ Meditation/ Kirtan Dance/ Holi celebrations.
