20 Year Old Boy Kills Himself in Front of 5-Year Old Niece: Records Himself
Days before his sister's wedding, 20-year-old Farat Ali allegedly died by suicide after recording a video claiming harassment, leaving his family devastated.
What was meant to be a time of celebration turned into unimaginable grief for a family in Uttar Pradesh's Moradabad district.
Twenty-year-old Farat Ali, the youngest of nine siblings, had returned from Punjab just four days earlier to celebrate Eid and prepare for his sister's wedding, which was only days away.
On the night of May 30, Farat recorded a 7-minute video in which he claimed he was being harassed and urged that his family not be troubled after his death. Moments later, he used his father's licensed gun to shoot himself.
A five-year-old niece, who was in the room at the time, raised the alarm after hearing the gunshot. Relatives rushed in and found Farat lying in a pool of blood.
Police have seized the weapon and his mobile phone and are investigating the case. While the exact reason remains unclear, some reports suggest personal relationship issues may have played a role.
The tragedy has left the family shattered, turning what should have been a joyful wedding week into a period of mourning.
