BCCI to Honor Armed Forces at IPL 2025 Final

The IPL 2025 closing ceremony on June 3 will honor the Indian Armed Forces for their role in Operation Sindoor, featuring tributes and performances dedicated to their bravery.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced that the closing ceremony of IPL 2025 will be a special one. It will be held on June 3 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad and will pay tribute to the Indian Armed Forces for their bravery during Operation Sindoor.

ISH News had earlier shared the full story of Operation Sindoor. If you missed it, you can go back and watch: India Strikes Pakistan, Launches ‘Operation Sindoor’ on ISH News.

Operation Sindoor was an important military action taken by India after a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on April 22, 2025. The attack led to the loss of 26 civilian lives. In response, India carried out well-planned strikes using the Army, Air Force, and Navy to target terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

As a tribute to this bold operation, the IPL 2025 closing ceremony will include:

- Invitations to the chiefs of the Army, Navy, and Air Force, along with other top military leaders

- Special stands in the stadium dedicated to soldiers
- Patriotic song performances and possibly military bands

BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia said, “We are proud of our armed forces and thankful to them for ensuring our security and safety at all times.”

This event will be a powerful mix of cricket and patriotism, honouring those who protect the nation.
