In a harrowing incident reported from Delhi, a hospital allegedly killed a 15-year-old girl by removing her organs and "stuffing" her body with polythene bags. A 15 year old girl had intestinal ailment after which she was hospitalized at MCD-run Hindu Rao Hospital on 21st January 2023. She underwent surgery on 24th January 2023 but was pronounced dead on 26th January 2023. Her parents took the body from the hospital. After reaching home, they called the police control room and said that some organs had been removed from the girl’s body, pointing out some holes in her stomach, which they claimed were covered with a polythene sheet. Irfan, the girl's older brother, claimed that the hospital staff had been rushing to deliver the body. The staff suggested that if the body wasn't taken right away, it would end up in a mortuary. They also said that it would take time for the mortuary to release the body, so the body was transported. As the body was being cleaned as part of the burial rituals, women in the family noticed a hole in the stomach. A polythene sheet was stuffed to hide the hole. The police were informed, and the body was taken into custody for further investigation. The Delhi Police have launched an investigation into the matter and the body was preserved at the Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital, Delhi.

The teen's body was transported to the Maulana Azad Medical College on 31st January 2023, where the post-mortem was conducted. The family also shared photographs of the body which were widely circulated on social media. However, the authenticity of the photographs couldn't be confirmed. A senior MCD official denied the allegations by the family, and said, “We are in touch with the investigating officer and will be cooperating in the probe. The doctors have stated that the patient was suffering from an intestinal wound, and no organs have been removed,” The family said the police informed them that the probe will start after the results of the post-mortem reports are announced.
