IFD Distribute Food to Deaf for Ramadan During Lockdown

The Interactive Foundation (IFD) for the Deaf has helped more than 500 families in India by distributing ration kits during the holy month of Ramadan.

The Interactive Foundation (IFD), was completely founded by Deaf individuals for the benefit of

Deaf brothers and sisters across India. IFD is a non-profit organization located at Tirur in Malappuram District, Kerala, and is the only Islamic education organization founded by the Deaf for the Deaf in India. This Ramadan 2020 was very difficult for almost all Muslims in India. Hence IFD decided to feed the Poor Deaf Muslims by providing them a month ration for proper Suhoor and Iftar. 

Rs. 7,50,000/-  was raised to distribute 500 Ration kits, which were worth Rs.1500/-  each. They included major grocery items like rice, dal, wheat flour, oil, etc. They provided monthly ration kit to 500 needy Deaf families throughout India. 

IFD identified potential Deaf Volunteers across India, from around 17 states like Tamil Nadu,

Kerala, Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh,

Uttarakhand, Assam, Delhi, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Bihar, Jammu and Kashmir

and West Bengal to distribute food to needy deaf individuals in their states.
