London Plane Crash: Beechcraft B200 Erupts in Fireball After Takeoff
A small medical flight crashed after takeoff at London Southend Airport, killing crew onboard, with investigations now underway.
A serious plane crash happened on Sunday, 13th July 2025, at London Southend Airport. A small plane, Beechcraft B200 Super King Air, around 12 meters long, was ready to take off for Lelystad in the Netherlands.
This was not a normal passenger flight but a special medical flight run by Zeusch Aviation, a Dutch company.
Sadly, just after takeoff around 3:48 p.m., the plane suddenly tilted to the left, turned upside down, and crashed into the ground nose-first. It immediately burst into a big fire, with black smoke rising high in the sky.
Firefighters, ambulances, police, and rescue teams rushed to the spot. The nearby areas like the golf course and rugby club were quickly closed off. All other flights were stopped, and passengers at the airport were safely moved out.
The exact number of people inside the plane is not yet known. Reports say there were no normal passengers, only the crew and maybe doctors or patients because it was a medical flight.
Some people at the airport said they saw the two pilots waving to families before takeoff. Eyewitnesses were shocked to see the plane flip and crash to the ground.
One person near the airport said, “I feel very sad for the people inside the plane and their families. Our prayers are with them.”
Beechcraft planes are made in America and are different from Boeing. Beechcraft is known for small and medium-size planes like the King Air series.
The crash will now be investigated by Essex Police and the UK’s Air Accident Investigation Branch to find out why it happened.
