Maharashtra Youth Commits Suicide Live on Facebook

Ankush Pawar, a 27 years old youth, allegedly hanged himself after his girlfriend of three years refused to marry him and live-streamed his final moments on Facebook. The incident happened on 5th August at around 7.30 am. Ankush Pawar was from Jalna district of Maharashtra. He was working in Kalyan, Maharashtra as a ward boy at a hospital. While live-streaming his suicide on Facebook, Pawar said that he had been in a relationship with a woman for three years. “I love a girl very much. But she betrayed me. Her family refused our marriage.” The couple quarreled frequently over several issues. He had even saved some money with her for their future. During a heated argument, the woman reportedly told him to die, following which he committed suicide in a fit of rage. The incident has caused a stir in the area and a police investigation is underway. He is survived by his elderly parents, brother and two sisters.
