Man Books Flight Ticket for Zomato Delivery Boy To Meet His Mom in ICU
A kind stranger booked a ?4,000 flight for a Zomato delivery partner to reach his critically ill mother, and the delivery partner later returned the money, touching hearts across India.
A heartwarming story has gone viral on social media after X user Ankit Pandey helped a Zomato delivery partner reach his critically ill mother.
Pandey recognised the delivery partner, who had delivered to his home many times before. On a rainy day, the delivery partner asked for a glass of water. While talking to him, Pandey noticed that he looked upset.
The delivery partner shared that his mother had fallen down the stairs and was admitted to the ICU. He wanted to go to his hometown immediately, but the next train would take nearly 30 hours.
Pandey offered him food, and the two shared a meal. He then searched for flights and booked a ?4,000 ticket so the delivery partner could reach his mother quickly.
The delivery partner, who had never travelled by plane before, safely reached home and was able to meet his mother. Later, he informed Pandey that doctors said she was out of danger and would return home in a few days.
The delivery partner also returned the ?4,000, but Pandey sent the money back and asked him to use it for his mother's treatment.
The story touched thousands online, with people praising Pandey's kindness and the delivery partner's honesty.
Sharing the experience on X, Pandey wrote that small acts of kindness—a glass of water, a meal, or a ticket home—can change someone's life. He ended by saying, “Some blessings never appear in your bank account. They stay in your heart forever.”
