Pawan Kalyan’s Wife Donates Hair At Tirumala Temple

Pawan Kalyan’s son Mark was injured in a Singapore fire but returned safely to Hyderabad after treatment, with the family offering prayers in gratitude.

Popular actor and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister, Pawan Kalyan, recently faced a tough time after his 8-year-old son, Mark Shankar Pawanovich, was injured in a fire accident in Singapore.

On 8th April 2025, a fire broke out at a three-storey shophouse on 278 River Valley Road in Singapore. A shophouse is a building where there are shops or classes on the ground floor and people live on the upper floors. The fire started at a child enrichment centre (classes) on the ground floor. Sadly, a 10-year-old Australian girl named Freya Ji Yinan lost her life, and 21 others — including six adults and 15 children — were injured.

Mark, who was attending a summer camp there, suffered burns on his hands and legs and also inhaled smoke. He was immediately admitted to a hospital in Singapore. After the incident, Pawan Kalyan spoke to the media and said that doctors had to perform a bronchoscopy — a test where a small camera is put through the nose or mouth to check if the lungs are damaged by the smoke.

During this difficult time, Pawan's wife, Anna Lezhneva, made a promise to God that she would offer her hair if their son survived the accident.

Thankfully, on 12th April 2025, Mark returned to Hyderabad, healthy and safe. The next day, on 13th April, Anna fulfilled her promise by getting her head shaved at the Sri Venkateswara Temple in Tirumala. Before shaving her head, she also signed a religious form to show her faith in Lord Venkateswara. Anna donated Rs 17 lakh for ‘annadanam’ (offering food to devotees) at the temple as a way to thank God for her son’s recovery.

Actor Allu Arjun and his wife Sneha visited Pawan Kalyan's Hyderabad home to show their support.

Pawan Kalyan later thanked all his party members, fans, friends from the film industry, and politicians for their love and support during his son’s hospitalisation. He shared that his son is still recovering but will soon be completely healthy.
