Actor Rishi Kapoor was admitted to Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital on Wednesday, 29th April 2020. He passed away today 30th April 2020. He was 67. His wife Neetu Singh was by his side. The news was confirmed by Rishi’s brother Randhir Kapoor. Rishi Kapoor was diagnosed with cancer in 2018, after that the actor went to New York for more than a year for treatment. He returned to India in September 2019. He was again hospitalized in New Delhi in early February. On Wednesday his brother Randhir Kapoor had informed that Rishi Kapoor was not feeling well and so he was admitted to the hospital early in the morning. Randhir said that Rishi will be fine. Rishi Kapoor’s death has left the country shocked and distressed. Fans and colleagues, who have still had not recovered from the death of actor Irrfan Khan yesterday, gave their condolences. Rishi Kapoor is survived by his wife, Neetu Kapoor, son Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor and daughter Riddhima Kapoor.

Rishi’s father was the legendary actor Raj Kapoor and his grandfather was the famous Prithviraj Kapoor. I am destroyed!” Akshay Kumar in his tweet said, “This is a nightmare for Bollywood. It's heartbreaking. He was a legend, a great co-star, and a good friend of the family. My thoughts and prayers are with his family” Rishi Kapoor started his film career as a child actor in his father’s Mera Naam Joker (1970). His first role as an adult actor was in the film Bobby (1973). He is well known for acting in romantic movies. He acted as a romantic lead (hero) in 92 films between 1973 and 2000. He acted in hit films such as Amar Akbar Anthony, Laila Majnu, Rafoo Chakkar, Heena, Karz, Chandani, Prem Rog, Bol Radha Bol, and others.
