Ayodhya: World’s First AI-Powered Vedic City

Ayodhya will be the world's first AI-driven Vedic city. It's launching an Arahas Technology-designed AI platform to track its sustainability and offer solutions.

The city of Lord Ram & Goddess Sita, Ayodhya have had its disputes & controversies. Whether it's providing the status & details of Shri Ram Mandir’s construction or making a world record by lighting 21 lakh diya on Diwali, Ayodhya sure knows how to be in news. And once again Ayodhya has made headlines in style. According to the reports, the city of Ayodhya is all set to become the world’s first Artificial intelligence (AI) - powered Vedic city. The Ayodhya Development Authority has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a Delhi-based IT & AI company - Arahas Technology to create a ‘vedic sustainable city index platform software for the Ayodhya city.’ Arahas Technologies Pvt Ltd, is famous for developing geospatial IT and AI-based softwares for advanced sustainability goals. According to MoU, the software will help the local authorities to make better decisions to implement sustainable practices to manage the growing needs of the local population. Through the software, Arahas Technology will provide systematic & logical solutions for air, water and environmental pollution to the local development authority and municipal corporation of Ayodhya. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had also formed a special board council called the ‘Ayodhya Dham Teertha Vikas Parishad’ earlier in November to initiate faster & more efficient sustainable development of the city. This important decision was made keeping in mind the daily number of Ayodhya visitors which are expected to drastically increase soon because of the opening of Ayodhya’s main Shri Ram Mandir in January 2024. The estimated combined population of Ayodhya-Faizabad twin cities is about 24.7 lakh and Ayodhya receives at least 35,000 to 50,000 visitors daily. The number of visitors is estimated to rise significantly in the coming days and therefore, immediate steps to make Ayodhya a self-sustainable city through the implementation of various technologies are being taken. The local development authorities said that they want to collaborate with advanced IT processes and calculations to start better and deep analysis of vast datasets, environmental insights, social and economic changes setting in Ayodhya city. Municipal commissioner & vice-chairman of Ayodhya Development Authority, Vishal Singh said that the real-time sustainable data of the software will help the authorities to set goals, form strategies, introduce policies & monitor the progress of the projects deployed with the help and advice of the software. Vishal said “The objective is to create a model city that is able to handle, process and recycle the waste that is being generated and a centralized dashboard which will flag off the concerns in this domain is going to be helpful for the local authorities. Through the city’s sustainable index, Ayodhya aspires to become the first temple town which would proactively report its sustainability data and serve as a model to set the stage for a thriving and resilient urban future.”
