Famous Tamil Comedian Vivek Passes Away at 59

South Indian Actor Vivek complained of having discomfort in his chest and then became unconscious on friday 16th April. His wife and daughter rushed him to the SIMS Hospital in Chennai. The doctors said that he had suffered a cardiac arrest. Doctors then performed an operation and installed a stent as one of his arteries was completely blocked. Post surgery he was in the ICU. However, he passed away at 4.35am.

A day prior to his cardiac arrest, he had taken the COVAXIN Coronavirus vaccine. He was also announced as Chennai’s Ambassador to create awareness about the COVID vaccine and encouraged many to get vaccinated. 

Now many of his fans are questioning the safety of the vaccine and believe that it was the vaccine that killed him. However, doctors at the SIMS hospital say that Vivek’s cardiac arrest and subsequent death had nothing to do with the vaccine. Vivek’s real name was Vivekanandan. He was born in Kovilpatti in Tuticorin district in south Tamil Nadu. He started his career with the 1987 film Manathil Uruthi Vendum. He was one of the most popular comic stars in the south film industry for the last 20 years. He was well known for his quick wit and ability to mimic others. Vivek was also a social activist. He was also creating awareness about the evils of child marriage, religious superstitions, caste clashes, etc. Vivek was also awarded the Padma Shri in 2009.
