Indian Economy Suffers Rs 7-8 Lakh Loss

According to analysts, India has executed the world's largest lockdown which has costed the economy Rs 7-8 lakh in the last 21-days. Watch our latest video for all the details.

PM Modi announced a 21-day lockdown to contain COVID-19. 70% of all businesses were stopped which has caused a huge loss to the economy. Only essential goods and services such as agriculture, mining, utility services, some financial and IT services and public services were allowed to operate.The lockdown in India is the biggest in the world. Majority of flights, businesses, trains, factories, restriction of vehicles, people, etc. that are shut are in India. 

Centrum Institutional Research, a research organisation, has said that due to this lockdown, India is losing Rs 35,000 crore daily. During the 21-day lockdown there will be a total loss of Rs 7-8 lakh crore. The COVID-19 pandemic has come at a very bad time for India. India’s economy was suffering for a long time but now due to the pandemic it has become even worse. The sectors that are most severely impacted are transport, hotel, restaurant, and real estate activities.It will take a long time for the Indian economy to recover.
