Junaid's Story About CJP: "I Helped Them, But They Left Me Alone"
CJP volunteer alleges police harassment and says he was ignored by party leaders; CJP says it is providing him support.
A video of a young volunteer from the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) protest has gone viral on social media. In the video, he claims that he arranged food and water for protesters for more than a month but now feels he has been left alone by the CJP leaders.
The volunteer, Mohammad Junaid from Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, said he helped the protesters for around 35 to 40 days. According to him, he arranged and distributed bread, pakodas, samosas, biryani, water and other food items through donations from people supporting the protest.
Junaid claimed that on 24th July, while returning home after treatment for a dog bite at RML Hospital in Delhi, he and a friend were stopped by men who identified themselves as Delhi Police officers. He alleged that he was taken away, blindfolded and questioned about who was funding the food and water supplied to the protesters.
According to Junaid, the officers questioned how he, despite running a small mobile repair shop, could arrange such a large amount of food. He said he told them that the supplies were paid for through public donations.
Junaid further claimed that after questioning him, the officers took him to Mussoorie, Uttarakhand, and left him there after taking away his mobile phone and money. He later returned to Delhi and shared his experience on social media. He also alleged that police searched his family home, took some documents and questioned his father and a relative.
However, Delhi Police has denied all these allegations and said the claims are completely false.
In a later interview, Junaid became emotional while speaking about his relationship with the CJP leaders. He said he felt the organisation had distanced itself from him and that none of the leaders had contacted him after the incident, despite his month-long support during the protests. He also said he and his family were handling the legal matters on their own.
Later, the Cockroach Janata Party responded to Junaid's statements. The party said it had contacted him and was providing him with the necessary help and support.
