Nida Khan from TCS Controversy Arrested After 42 Days

Nida Khan was arrested after 42 days in the TCS Nashik case, while police continue to investigate possible wider links.

In a major development in the TCS Nashik controversy, the key accused Nida Khan has been arrested by Nashik Police after being on the run for 42 days. The case is related to allegations of religious conversion involving some co-workers, which had earlier created a lot of discussion on social media.

So far, 9 cases have been filed in this matter and 7 accused had already been arrested. However, Nida Khan was missing, making her the most wanted person in the case.

Police finally arrested her on the night of 7 May 2026 after a carefully planned undercover operation. Officers worked in plain clothes and avoided using police vehicles so that no one in the area would suspect their presence.

Police received information that she was hiding in Naregaon area of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. She was staying in a rented flat along with her family members.

The house where she was staying reportedly belongs to AIMIM corporator Mateen Patel. Instead of raiding immediately, police kept the area under secret watch for three to four days. More than 20 police personnel were deployed around the location during this time.

According to reports, Nida Khan was in touch with lawyers and was preparing to apply for bail in the High Court. Before she could do so, police moved in and detained her.

After her arrest, she was presented before a judge late at night at the judge’s residence.

Police have also named Mateen Patel as an accused for giving her shelter. Officials said that there are questions about the legality of his property. A notice has been issued asking him to submit documents related to his house and shop within three days. If the property is found illegal, it may be demolished and he could lose his corporator post.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra minister Sanjay Shirsat claimed that the case could be linked to a larger network. He said that the connections may go beyond India and mentioned links to countries like Malaysia. He also said that Nida Khan may not be the main person behind the operation.

On the other hand, Asaduddin Owaisi defended his party and said it is wrong to connect AIMIM to this case. He also said that Nida Khan would get justice in court.

The investigation is still ongoing, and police are looking into all possible angles in this case.
