“No Kings” Protests: 8 Million Americans Demand Trump to Resign

Nearly 8 million Americans protested nationwide on 28 March 2026 in the “No Kings” movement, demanding President Trump’s resignation.

On 28 March 2026, nearly 8 million people protested across 3,300+ locations in all 50 U.S. states in the largest demonstration in American history, under the banner “No Kings.”

The protests targeted President Donald Trump, demanding he resign or be impeached, with slogans like “Trump must go now” and “No ICE, No War, No Lies, No Kings.” Demonstrations were fueled by anger over aggressive immigration enforcement, family separations, and deaths of civilians Renee Good and Alex Pretti during ICE operations.

In Minnesota, Bruce Springsteen performed “Streets of Minneapolis”, condemning the situation and urging continued resistance. Protesters also cited concerns over Trump’s leadership style, US involvement in Iran, rising living costs, and threats to democracy and individual rights.

While most protests were peaceful, clashes occurred in Los Angeles and Dallas, prompting National Guard deployments. Participation spanned both major cities and small towns, showing widespread public dissatisfaction.

Trump dismissed the protests as politically motivated, defended his policies on immigration and law enforcement, and stated he had no plans to resign or change course.
