Everyone was very excited for Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani’s horror-comedy movie named ‘Laxmi Bomb’. However, the film’s title received a lot of backlash from several Hindu groups. These groups said that the name Laxmi Bomb is insulting to Goddess Laxmi and demanded the name change. The producers of the movie agreed and changed the name to ‘Laxmii’. Laxmii released on Disney+ Hotstar on Monday 9th November. Laxmii is the story of a man who gets possessed by the ghost of a vengeful transgender person. The movie received the biggest opening ever on Hotstar. The movie also broke the viewership record, previously held by Sushant Singh Rajput’s Dil Bechara. However, the movie has failed to impress viewers.

IMDb is a famous website that gives information about movies, tv-series, etc. On IMDb more than  24,000 people rated the movie. Out of these 17,000 gave the movie only 1 star. Currently, IMDB has given Laxmi 2.2 stars out of 10. This rating is very low. One person reviewed the movie and said: “The only sigh of relief is that it is a digital release, and digital platforms luckily have the option to fast-forward. Without a doubt, Laxmii is one of the worst Bollywood films in recent years."
