Guns Used to Shoot at Salman Khan’s House Found

Mumbai Police recovered pistols from Tapti River in Surat and arrested a Ghaziabad student for booking a prank cab from Salman Khan's house to Bandra Police Station.

The recent events surrounding the firing incident at Salman Khan's Mumbai residence have left many stunned. On April 14th, two individuals fired gunshots at the actor's house, only to be later apprehended by the authorities. These distressing occurrences have undoubtedly brought immense stress to the Khan family.

In the midst of this serious situation, it appears that some individuals have chosen to make light of the matter. A 20-year-old student from Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, identified as Rohit Tyagi, decided to play what he termed as a "prank" on April 18th. He booked a cab under the name of notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, from Salman Khan's residence, the Galaxy Apartment, to the Bandra Police Station.

Upon arrival at Galaxy Apartment, the cab driver inquired about Lawrence Bishnoi, causing alarm among the security personnel. They promptly alerted the Bandra Police Station, leading to an investigation into the matter. Fortunately, the cab driver was unaware that he was heading to Salman Khan's residence or that Lawrence Bishnoi was connected to a criminal case related to the firing incident.

Subsequently, the Mumbai Police tracked down Rohit Tyagi and apprehended him in Ghaziabad on April 19th. He was then brought to Mumbai and presented before the court, where he was remanded to the custody of the Bandra Police for two days.

In a significant development in the ongoing investigation, the Mumbai Police Crime Branch recovered two pistols and 13 bullets from the Tapti River in Surat, Gujarat, on April 23rd. These firearms are believed to have been used by the two shooters, Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal, in the attack on Salman Khan's residence. Gupta and Pal confessed during interrogation that they disposed of the weapons off a railway bridge into the river while fleeing to Bhuj after the shooting incident.

A dedicated team of 12 officers, including senior Mumbai Police inspector Daya Nayak, embarked on the search operation in the Tapti River on April 22nd.
